Can I place individual books on hold for a few days without losing my place in the FIFO line?  Not my entire shelf, just certain books?

I think a tour guide can best answer this, but I would think that you could maintain your place in the FIFO.  Vacation hold allows you to maintain your place in line, so it would be reasonable that the same would be true for individual books on hold.  I checked the help docs for you but couldn't find anything.

Having learned from experience you cannot put individual books on hold without losing your FIFO.  You can put your complete shelf on vacation hold and not lose your FIFO though.  Pat

It seems that it would be a great option for when you want to do a deal in the bazaar but with certain books excluded.  Oh well, thanks for the answers.

Yeah, I found ou the hard way that if you place individual books on hold, it actually removes them from the FIFO and when you unhold them they go back at the end of the line. Only a vacation hold (which holds all your bookshelf) retains your books in their place in line.

you could still do a deal and specify which books are excluded or if it is paperbacks only (no hardback) or textbooks are excluded.
