Planet Ladder is a series with interesting ideas, beautiful art, and mixed results with execution. Sometimes it is really well done, but a lot of the time the story's finer points are unclear through bad communcation, not writer's mystique.
I couldn't really understand the introduction to this story in this manga... Great artwork, though.
