Author: John Gregory Dunne
Hollywood in the '40s, gangsters, the creation of Las Vegas, and a mysterious movie star are the principle elements in this ribald, tragic, and funny novel. While researching a story about renegade cops in Detroit, a screenwriter encounters a former child star, who is now a bag lady living in a trailer park.

No stars because I was not able to even finish this. Sounded like a good storyline, but I just could not get into it. Different strokes for different folks. I am sure someone out there will love it.
