Allan Garganus can write! Not a fast read by any means - nothing like his "Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All", but still entertaining if you can stick with it.

Very lovable group of creative beautiful bohemians living the high life in NYC until the AIDS demon attacks the nation. Lots of humor and angst...great great insights. You cannot ever doubt that Garganus is simply a stunning writer and that he lived this book....you can just feel it. It is slow moving and not action packed - it is all about feeling. If you cannot get into flashes of cerebral brilliance, don't read this.
