Hi- I'm going crazy trying to find out the name/author of this book I read so long ago. There were sisters all named after states ( Carolina, Pennsylvania, Florida) and the book in question was about Carolina and she ran away from home and became a pirate wench. ( I know). She took care of a baby panther which later saved her life. This may sound odd, but I don't remember the story but I can quote parts of the book in my head - those prob. won't help though! lol
