Part of the Rose Hunters series. I liked it. He was great as the protector and she was good as the protector of the separated lovers. Both strong in their own wasy.

Helena Nash is a proper lady by London's standards. But, she agrees to help out two lovers by delivering messages and of course gets into a bit of a tangle. So...... she contacts Ramsey who once told her he pledged himself to her family.....she needs to learn swords play. But of course she isn't who she pretends to be.....and of course he plays along......

Great books and very funny!!!!

This one was a slow start for me, but by the end I was quickly turning the pages. It's a little flowery and book two of a trilogy, so you might want to start with book one, My Seduction, for a better reading experience. Book three is My Surrender. If you have any interest in fencing this will fill that need. If you like the "companion in adventure" storyline I recommend Surrender by Amanda Quick.

Well, I really like historical romances, but I just wanted to shake the heroine in this book until her teeth rattled and tell her to get into a book with a less contrived plot! If only Helena had just used some sense, she probably could have avoided much of her anguish and problems caused by dashing around London in the dead of night. It also seems pretty far fetched that she decides she must learn to sword fight to protect herself when the hero (who also happens to be the man she approaches to teach her) keeps asking her to tell him what she fears and he will protect her. Sorry, she just seems like a very dimwitted young woman and I couldn't get pass that enough to enjoy the story. The female cousin and aunt she lives with didn't appeal any better. It seems that the females of this book were all neglible and weak in some way. The male characters were crafted much better. To me the character of Helena took away from the pleasure of the romantic angle as I couldn't understand why she couldn't trust the hero, nor why he was in love with her. Even the mystery of who is stalking Helena is rather boring. The best action is in the swordfighting competition among the men.

Book #2 in the RoseHunters series - By day, celebrated beauty Helena Nash works as a proper companion to one of London's most disagreeable ladies. By night, she acts as an illicit messenger between tow separated lovers. Masked and disguised, she falls into the path of a shadowy stalker. Fearing for her safety but unwilling to halt her nocturnal forays, Helena seeks out Ramsey Munro--one of the 3 men who pledged years earlier to serve her family in times of need. Handsome and elusive, the notorious Scotsman is London's most accomplished swordsman and represents eveything Helena wants but can't have--freedom, adventure, and passion. Now she demands that he teach her his formidable skills, a commission that may prove cool, collected Helena's undoing. For Ramsey has seen through her disguise...and soon vows to teach her both the way of the sword and the deliciously wicked pleasures of the flesh.
