Fairly frequently someone asks an opinion, like "Is this unprofessional?" and it would be nice to have a poll to see the percent of people who answer different ways.

Could this be put on the todo list?

A poll could also be used to address the question "How do we deal with this issue on PBS?" And we could see peoples' opinions. The poll could be open forever, but PBS staff would only look at the results on a certain date. For example we start a poll on May 1, and to address the issue PBS staff would look at the poll results on May 30, though the poll would still be open indefinitely.

Just an idea.

Chuck, if you want to have PBS consider something, you have to send it in via feedback. Suggestions in the forum stay in the forum, very seldome to they make it to the right place. Use the CONTACT PBS TEAM link in the Help Center and select suggestion from the subject drop down.

ETA: I don't mean that you shouldn't post here for discussion, because that gets other people to send it in too, but you have to send it in, and suggest others that like the idea do the same for it to become a reality. Just wanted to clarify my meaning ;)

I think a poll section would be cool. I love doing those!

Only issue that I could see is that forum participants may be a small percentage of the membership base. However, if each poll was announced in the newsletter, it might increase forum participation! lol
