I thought this book was going to be different than it was. I thought it would be more about Jane Austen herself but it is mostly about the time period she lived and wrote in and the people around her. While it was informative about her life and writing,it was more a history of the time . The writing is very old fashioned but then I checked the copyrite and noticed it was first written in 1902. It changed my opinion of the entire book . I am glad I read it and it makes me want to read more of Jane Austen's works.
