This book was better than I thought it would be. Although it's about a private high school, it's very grown-up, with story threads revolving around both adults and teenagers. Adultery, death, emotional problems - some heavy themes in this book. Well-written, it kept my interest and I finished it quickly because I couldn't put it down. Very good book.

As a fan of the CW drama Gossip Girl I was expecting the book to take more of a sordid path. But it didn't-- though still a fun read.
I didn't particularly care for this book. There didn't seem to be much of a plot, just a bunch of short chapters about a bunch of shallow and dysfunctional people. I didn't really find any of the characters very likable. It was, however a quick read.
