Topic: Possibly the strangest wish ever

I need an empty metal can, approximately 8-12 inches tall and 4-6 inches or so in diameter. A 2 pound coffee can is too big around. I went to Sam's, thinking I would buy their chicken stock in the large cans. I have bought it there for YEARS! But today, all they had were cases of the smaller cans and 3 packs of the quart boxes. I can't think of anything else that comes in a can this size, but if anyone else does, please let me know. If you have an empty can, that would be even better! This was the 49.5 oz can I used to buy, but it's no longer available at Sam's or my local grocer's.

Carlene, I think that pineapple juice (maybe del monte?) comes in this size.

Perfect! Thanks so much. I didn't even think of juices, although I did find a giant can of ravioli at the grocery yesterday, and almost bought it. At least I can use the pineapple juice to make some pina coladas. Thou shalt not waste food, right? |
