I've got some older children's hardbacks where the binding is coming loose from the endpapers (it's fine inside the books - it's just right inside the front and back covers).  One has had a previous repair with binding tape.  If these are repaired with tape, are they alright to post?  I looked at the FAQs, but didn't see anything relating to books that had been repaired.

Thanks : )

I'm pretty sure that you can't post books that have been repaired like that, but I don' t have a link to the exact rule that says so on hand. I'm sure that someone will pop into this thread soon with that information for you.

While there is no rule about taping in books, if it were me, I would not post it.  I tend to be kinda picky about what books I post, and I always think about whether I would be unhappy if I received a book in a certain condition before I post.  If I received a book with a taped binding, I'd be unhappy.  With your other book that has loose pages, that is definitely unpostable, no question about that.

Here's some additional guidance from the Help Center:

"When you Post a book, you are asked to confirm that the book is "in good condition, and not excessively worn".  It is impossible to list all of the ways in which a book might be considered excessively worn, but the criteria below are as comprehensive as we have been able to make them.  If you feel your book falls into a "grey area", you can either post the book and send a Personal Message to the requestor, or not post the book."

Thanks for the replies!  They're old Happy Hollisters books that I have duplicates of and are wishlisted, so I wasn't sure, but I won't post them.

You could always offer them as freebies in the Book Bazaar.  For the fact that they're wished for, I'm sure you'll be able to find someone who'd love to have them.
