I joined PBS on March 13, 2009 and actually just reposted most of my bookshelf around April 12, 2012 - I believe that the oldest books on my bookshelf (as of October) at the moment are:

The Best Laid Plans by Sidney Sheldon: Donated by someone for my local library's book sale, bought at my local library's book sale for one dollar. This book is still in relatively good reading condition and does already have a usable paper dust jacket that comes with it. Posted on April 12, 2012

Blood and Orchids by Norman Katkov: Donated by someone for my local library's book sale, bought at my local library's book sale for fifty cents. This book is still in relatively good reading condition and the cover is still strongly attached although it does show signs of being well read. Posted on April 13, 2012

I'm adding newer books all the time so please PM me if you are interested at all. Thanks so much! :)

All books on my shelf 2 for 1...Here are my 3 oldest:

Mr Murder
Author: Dean R. Koontz
Martin Stillwater has a vivid imagination. It charms his loving wife, delights his two little daughters, and gives him all the inspiration he needs to write his highly successful mystery novels. But maybe Martin's imagination is a bit too vivid... one rainy afternoon, a terrifying incident makes him question his grip on reality. A stranger breaks into his house, accusing him of stealing his wife, his children--and his life. Claiming to be the real Martin Stillwater, the intruder threatens to take what is rightfully his. The police think he's a figment of Martin's imagination. But Martin and his family have no choice but to believe the stranger's threat. And run for their lives. But wherever they go--wherever they hide--he finds them...

Congo
Author: Michael Crichton
Deep in the heart of the darkest region of the Congo ... an eight-person field expedition dies mysteriously and brutally in a matter of minutes. Ten thousand miles away, at the Houston-based Earth Resources Technology Services, Inc., supervisor Karen Ross watches a gruesome video transmission of that ill-fated team ... and [sees]the grainy, moving image of a dark, blurred shape .... a new expedition is sent into the Congo, descending into a secret world where the only way out may be through the grisliest death

GOOD GUYS How We Turned the FBI 'Round Q and Finally Broke the Mob
Author: Jules Bonavolonta

As gripping as fiction, yet all incredibly true, this book is the story of how FBI Special Agent Bonavolonta brought down the most powerful Mafia families in New York--and forever revolutionized the investigative procedures of the FBI. Includes an eight-page photo insert.
