Any advice about how to post a set of books? I have a set of 3 children's books that were purchased together, but each have a seperate ISBN number. What are the ground rules? In this case, I'd either get one credit for sending all three books (plus a sound device that interacts with all the books) OR send one book (no sound device) and run the risk of getting a RWAP.

Technically, if they are a set, especially with a sound device that works with all three books, then I would say that you have to post them as a set for one credit. The alternative would be to offer them in the Book Bazaar...

Offer them in the book bazaar for three credits, since it's three books. For kids books, though, many people don't want to pay full credits for them unless they are more valuable than run of the mill kids books.

Your best bet is to offer them in the Book Bazaar or in the appropriate Genre forum.  You can ask for up to three credits for the set (no more than one credit per book allowed) and set up a private transaction if you have a member who wants the set.

If you don't do a private transaction, your only options are to post the set here (and earn only one credit for the set) or post the books individually to get three credits, but risk having to send them out separately. (Note: The books cannot be posted individually if the sound device is required to play the books; in that case only one could be posted, and sound device sent out with it.)  If the sound device is NOT required to read the books, then all three could be posted individually, but again, risk of the set needing to be broken up to be sent to three different members.

If the books all have their own ISBNs I see no reason why you would technically have to post them as a set for 1 credit.  You can always post books of a set individually.  Non-media items are never required so unless you can't use the books at all without the sound device, it is not required for posting the books.

The Book Bazaar is usually the easiest place to deal with sets. You can offer the set for up to the amount of books included, so you be able to offer the set for 3 credits in the Bazaar. If the books are Wish Listed, you should put your offer in the Wish List Multiples thread.

If the books are not Wish Listed, once you have someone wanting them you can post them and they can request them directly from you. If they are Wish Listed, you can give the other member the ISBN and have them add it to their Wish List and you can post directly to them.

"Your best bet is to offer them ... in the appropriate Genre forum"

However, if you decide to post in a genre forum you can only do so in one of the specifically created threads for deals. There are two or three. The genre forums are for discussion, not deals. But awhile back, they created some standing threads for deal sharing. Just don't create your own thread.
