I have a number of children's books that can in boxes of cheerios that I bought. All the books have a real ISBN (some ISBN10, a few with both). When I checked the ISBNs in the search, most came up as paperback, but one came up as a pamphlet (which I would concider to be the format of these particular books, due to their size and origin). The number of pages seem to match.

The one book that the pbs system listed as a pamphlet, I posted. But I am unsure if posting the rest is ok. Should I list all the books, and pm any requesters to inform them about the size/origin? Or should I only offer these books at the bazaar?

I wish I could give these books to children I know, but all the children I know already have tons of books from their book-loving family.

the ones you didn't post are they paperbacks or hardbacks?  are the details not the same as the book you have?

I would think they are postable but only use the ISBN if everything matches, otherwise post them as if they don't have an ISBN

you could also put a post in the Bazaar forum to see if anyone would take them for a credit or two (whatever you decide)

The books I didn't post are paperback, but they are far smaller then a paperback children's book bought at a store.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I know the books. We've enjoyed them too... but I don't know the answer.

My usual policy for myself is "when in doubt, don't post".

Just checked the Help Center, and it has some information about "leaflets," "pamphlets" and "booklets."  There are different rules depending on whether the item has an ISBN and whether the item is a children's book.  Some of this information is in a popup box linked from the word "leaflet."  You definitely should look at this information to make your decision -- I think probably under it you can post your books, but you may need to include a page count in the description.

I know the books you are talking about.  I consider them booklets and I don't post them.

I would say if anything you should offer them as freebies with an order. I have a few of them too.

As long as a booklet has an ISBN the Help Center says they are perfectly postable. If you find that the ISBN is already assigned to a different binding, then you would have to post them as non-ISBN items. Do be sure to include the size and pages, even if you have to do a data edit on the book, as that is also stated as required in the Help Center when posting smaller or fewer paged items.
