I have a HB book that has a sharpie dot on the edge outside of the page. It is about the size of a pea....would that be postable? Thanks for the help!

That would be postable. Sounds like a remainder mark, which is acceptable. |

Unless the ink bleeds well into the pages, this mark should not make the book unpostable. |

If you don't mind McKenna, here's a book I received recently. I didn't know what to make of the spreading ink marks, and fortunately didn't have to decide RWAP based on these alone. The book is unpostable for several other reasons. My question, on their own would these ink marks make the book unpostable?

My question, on their own would these ink marks make the book unpostable? No. If that was the only thing wrong with the book, it would be postable. From the help docs: "Page edges: remainder marks are OK. A name written on the page edges is okay (if it does not bleed in and obscure text on the text pages)" http://www.paperbackswap.com/help/search.php?terms=remainder+mark#textbooks
