Today when I was printing a label for a book, the "estimated weight" came up as 20+ pounds ... on a pretty average-sized hardcover book! I don't use the prepaid postage option, at least as of yet, so it was no big deal ... but it did kind of open my eyes wide! Is this a common occurrence, for the weight to be so far off base?

It does happen from time to time. I bought a cheap set of scales to check mine before I mail anything.

It happens to me fairly often - I correct the listing each time, so it doesn't happen to the next person. I don't use PBS postage, but others do!

You have to double check the weight everytime you use PBS Postage.  I've had a lot of books that are not the correct weight.

20 lbs. That's funny!
