I've worked out several deals with folks where they have just sent me the credits and not ordered any books directly through the system. My question-is there any way to do the postage through the PBS system? Or does it have to be associated with a particular book to use the system? Thanks! |

You could post one one of the books and then use the Mail To A Friend Option. Why didn't you just have someone order one of hte book and then include the others? That's what I do when I give someone a deal. THen there's a record of the transaction. I'm suprised a requestor would do that without an official transaction incase they never get their books. Anyway: when I mail books for games I do the Mail to a Friend option. If it's a WL book then I post a dummy book-a heavily posted book by an author I don't read-then I mail it to a friend. Just make sure ot add the weight of the additional books if you're using PBS postage. |

I am puzzled as to why you are not going through the system. Do you mind sharing why? |

I put the books on hold for the person who wanted them for a while and she just sent me the credits once she had them. Now I'm sending the books and wanted to use the PBS postage system. Not a big deal, just figured it would be easier than going to the Post Office. Nothing hinky about it.

Where is the mail to a friend option? I haven't seen that option anywhere? Thanks, Tory |

The book has to be posted to your shelf. Post the book then click on the book title on your shelf. It'll bring up the book description and over on the right instead of Oder This Book it'll have a blue link saying Mail To a Friend-click on that and it'll bring up an address screen. Make sure the book isn't WL first or it won't give you that option. Also don't post it to your shelf until you are ready to create the Mail/Friend order so it doesn't get ordered by someone else. |

Do try to stay within the PBS system. It makes everything so much easier if and when something goes wrong. Otherwise - if you have the book in your TBR (or on "hold" on your bookshelf) - you can still post the book directly to the person's Wishlist. I've done that just this week. Ruth |
