As I understand, the upc must match and the looks of the book don't but what about the spelling of the book?

I posted this book:

Inspection and Gauging
Author: Clifford Kennedy
ISBN-13: 9780831111199 - ISBN-10: 0831111194

Book Type: Hardcover

As you can see, it says "Inspection and Gauging" on the site but on my book it says "Inspection and Gaging."

I posted the book by ISBN and not name. Since I'm not sure if it's a book spelling error or a error on PBS, would it be best if I take the book off my shelve until I hear back from PBS Team? Or is this book postable?

EDIT: This is after I saw Sara's post. On the book, there's actually 2 different people listed as authors. Clifford Kennedy is one of the author, but there's also someone else. I forgot the first name, but the last name is Andrews. Does both authors need to be on the listing?

These things must match when you post a book:

1. the ISBN
2. The title
3. The author
4. The binding type
5. If the PBS listing saya Large Print, then the book must also be large print.

The cover does NOT need to match.

I think that your book is fine. I think it is just a mispelling in the PBS database, and not only that, but an irrelevant one. The word gauge is the same as gage and just has two different correct spellings.

I wouldn't worry about a misspelling either - post away!

If you have time, though, it'd be nice to send it in to the book edit team - if you look at the description page and click on "More Option" you'll see a link to edit the book data.

Rhonda: Oh, I didn't know you can do that. I just sent a message via contact us link.

I was also going to suggest submitting a data edit. When you do it, fill in as much info as you can-book description if it's missing, genres, author name corrections etc..,  If you are worried about the edit going through-in the reasons section, tell that you are taking it right from the book and maybe include a website that also shows it like your book-Amazon, Borders etc..,

Just to confirm - the Help Center says posting the book is Ok:

If your book does NOT match the information in the Book Listing Preview:

  • If it is a minor difference, such as a misspelled title or the wrong author first name, you can post the book and submit corrections afterward using the Edit Book Data link.
