I found a book that I thought I had posted but when I looked at the page for it, it didn't say that it was posted on my shelf.  So, I went to post it and then got the message that I can't post dupiicate books. So, I went to my bookshelf to see if any other books said they were posted. No, none of them say they are posted. Is this happening to anyone else and if so is it a glitch in the system? I really like this feature saying that my book is posted, so hope it's fixed soon.

Is your bookshelf sorted by author?  Try sorting it by title. That's almost always the problem if you can;t see a book on your bookshelf. If the author is blank the book is not visible.

Not sure what you are refering to when you say "this feature saying that my book is posted," but I think it may be highly likely that the fact that you are on hold so none of your books are available may be the problem. The List feature telling me what list the book is on is still showing my books on my Bookshelf. I don't really look at any other features to tell if a book is posted or not.

eta: I did some playing with my Vacation Hold, and yes, if I have it on Vacation Hold the Post This Book button comes back and it looks like I can post the book. If I take the Vacation Hold off, all posting options go away and it only allows me to send to a Friend. So I do believe it is the Vacation Hold that is causing your issue.

LOL, Melanie you are exactly right, thank you, a "duh" moment. I don't have it on hold that often. Oh, how we forget those things. Again, thanks.
