I just posted some history and historical fiction books that I really loved as a child.  Look on my bookshelf at the books that start with "The Story of..." and "We Were There...", plus two others, Snowshoe Thompson, and Young Thomas Edison.

Most are intended for 5th through 9th grade, with the latter 2 being a notch or two above a 5th grade reading level, in my estimation.

I've scanned these, and will be adding the pictures when the site it ready for us to post pictures again.

Also, with any children's book you order from my shelf, please feel free to PM me and name one of the books that I've tagged "children's paperback" that you'd like me to include for free.  (You can name a second choice, if you like, in case your first choice is taken.)  Edited to add: If you cannot see the tags on my bookshelf, any children's paperback is up for grabs.

Patty

Hi. I just ordered 4 books from your shelf. I believe they are The Story of Eleanor Roosevelt, The Story of Robert Lois Stevenson, The Story of Haydn, and The Story of Florence Nightingale. These are actually called Grosset and Dunlap's Signature series of biographies. You need to let folks know in the homeschool forum. We homeschool people love these older books for our older children to read themselves and for us to read to our younger ones. The Signature Series is awesome. I am always excited when I find one! If available I'll take the paperback book, The Gingham Dog and the Calico Cat as my freebie. Thanks so much for your willingness to part with them. Tiffany

I just ordered We were there at the Alamo.  I would like the Incredible Journey as my free one.  Thanks so much!  Carrie
