I picked up a bunch of goodies at the FOL book sale yesterday. Here are titles that were not wish-listed and are now available on my shelf:

Mass-market paperbacks:

  • The Prince of Darkness by P.C. Doherty (fifth in the Hugh Corbett mysteries set during Edward I's reign)
  • The Roaring Boy by Edward Marston (seventh in the Elizabethan theater mysteries)
  • The Queen's Secret by Jean Plaidy (Katherine of Valois, wife of Henry V and lover of Owen Tudor)

Trade PB:

  • Empress by Shan Sa (Empress Wu, China's only female emperor)

I also have these older mass-market paperbacks. PM me if you want one and you can buddy me a credit for it. Also post here so others will know the book is spoken for:

  • Queen of this Realm by Jean Plaidy (Elizabeth I). This book has an ISBN, but when I entered it in the system, it pulled up the cover photo from the new trade PB release. I don't want someone to think they are getting the newer version. This book is a Fawcett Crest MMP from 1984
  • The Heirs of the Kingdom by Zoe Oldenbourg. A young couple join the First Crusade on its journey to Jerusalem.
  • The Green Branch by Edith Pargeter. Second book in the "Heaven Tree Trilogy."

Order away! ;)

I forgot to add, I have two damaged Plaidy paperbacks. I will include either of these as a freebie with any order from my shelf or from the list above. PM me and post here if you want one:

  • The Wandering Prince: Cracked spine with a few pages beginning to come loose in the middle of the book.
  • Madonna of the Seven Hills: Has an old, light stain at the bottom of the spine.
