I have a book with no ISBN.  There are around 5 different listing of this book all with no ISBN and from 1 to 9 people wishing.  Can I post my book under one of these other listings?

Hi Sharon

You can't post a book with no ISBN under one of the listings already wished for.  You will have to use the Post Book without ISBN when you are posting the books.  What you can do however, is make a post in the Book Bazaar saying that you have (insert title here), but it doesn't have an ISBN that is recognized by the system.  Perhaps someone searching through the bazaar is looking for that book!

Your thread title could read:   wishlisted  book availible:  _______(title in the blank)

Then in the message:

I have a copy of _________ by ___________. This book is wishlisted but it does not have an ISBN.  If you are looking for this book, it's on my bookshelf!

:)

Then why do these no ISBN items stay in the system after the transaction is complete?   Why are people wishing on books that can never be posted?  I should say that I have caught myself with no ISBN items on my wish list.  I removed them because I needed the space, but why can we wish for a book that is against the rules to post?  I guess I think PBS should save us from ourselves.LOL

Just call me confused.

Thanks,

Sharon

The person who received that particular copy in the mail can repost it using the same listing.  I'll be on hold on his or her bookshelf.

I saw one of those with over 100 wishers on it today.  There were all kinds of tags pointing out that it's a non reusable ISBN and which ISBN should be WL. But there are still over 100 on the list.  With this book I happen to know it's because before the book came out-someone created the listing to start a WL without knowing the real ISBN.
