I know it is probably an easy thing to post a picture for approval for a book in the PBS system that has no picture available but I cannot find where to do this. The Contact Us/Contact the Librarian searches bring up 10 randomly totally unrelated questions. I would appreciate some help with this as I am totally lost. Thanks in advance for your help. |

On the detail page for the book, there is a drop down menu called More Options. Then choose Edit Book Data then Upload under Picture Cover. Easy peasy. |

Done! The picture is awaiting approval. Thanks, Leslie! |

If you send an image using the "edit book data" page, you're sending an image to the image approval queue plus a data edit to the data approval queue. If you aren't making any data changes, there are better ways to send an image. If there's a blue "no image available" icon, right underneath the blue box, there's an "upload" button. Or, if you have several images to upload, or if there's already an image in place, go to the bottom left corner of any page. Under "My Account" click on "member tools." Then "upload book covers." FYI, if your image is replacing an existing image, it can take up to three weeks to appear after it's approved, depending on where the database is in its update cycle. |

"If there's a blue "no image available" icon, right underneath the blue box, there's an "upload" button." Patti, I've seen that before but on the book image I happened to do right before I saw this thread, there was no "upload" button. The book that I was updating didn't have "no image available" but rather that red generic cover...mybe that was the difference? Anyway, because of that I thought maybe *things* had changed so I gave Debbie the tried-and-true method. :-) |
