I know I've done this before without any problems, but I can't figure out what's going on now.  I have a multiple wishlist book post in the Book Bazaar.  Another member contacted me, wanting two of my wishlisted books.  I told her to make sure that the wanted books were added to her wishlist (making sure the ISBN's were the same as the ones I provided).  I then went to her wishlist and clicked on the post this book to this member icon.  I did it for both books, it went through the 'are you sure you can post this book" screen, etc., and I hit "yes", assuming that she would get a notice that the books were posted to her, and she'd have to accept the requests so that the credits would go to me, etc.

Anyway, she never got the notificication.  I tried doing it again, and it said that I could not post duplicate books on my bookshelf(?)  Sure enough, the two wishlisted books are showing up on my bookshelf (which is currently on vacation hold).  So, is the vacation hold the problem?  I don't have to "friend" this other member, do I?  (I know I've done this before, without having to do so, not that I'd have a problem with it, if that's the solution).  At this point, I'm guessing I will just mail her the two books and ask her to gift me 2 credits after she gets them.  If I remove my vacation hold, it looks like they'll just go into the system, offered to the first person on the wishlist (which I don't want to happen, as I am trying to save postage by sending out multiple books).   Ideas?

Remove the books from your bookshelf.

Take yourself off vacaton hold.

Post the books to the person you were trying to post them to.

Yes, vacation hold is the issue.

Ditto Sara P. Remove them from your bookshelf first.  If you go off hold first, they'll be offered to FIFO even if it said you were posting them to her when you first posted them.  I learned this the hard way.

You can request books while on vacation hold. But it won't let you get any book requests because the whole purpose of vacation hold is not getting book requests.

Thanks much!  The vacation hold was the problem, so I did as you recommended and it worked this time.  smiley
