As far as I understand I, as a standard member, can post a book to an a la carte friend's WL. Can an a la carte friend post a book to my WL? |

I would think that anyone that can view your WL could post to it. Whether or not ALC members can view others WL's is something I don't know. |

A la Carte members can do normal trading the same as anyone else. They just do not have access to the social aspects of the site - the forums and PM. So they would not be able to PM someone to talk to them about doing it before they posted the books. Last Edited on: 6/6/15 7:33 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

An a la carte member can post to your wishlist. However, when an a la carte member goes to post a wishlist book, they (and also limited members) are not notified which of their friend/s have it on their WL. (as standard members are). |

interesting.......I posted a bunch of YA books after my 19 year old cleaned out her room last week. One of them that was WL was bypassed by first person in WL line, then imagine my surprise when the 2nd person it was offered to ended up being one of my friends here. When I posted the book, no list of friends was shown so that I could have picked her to begin with. Does it matter from where you post a book to get it to show which of your friends have it on their WL? |

Any time you end up at the post book screen (the one with the ISBN in the box on the left and the book cover on the right), you will see the list of your friends who wants the book. I wonder if your friend had her account on vacation hold? Generally you can't post directly to another member who is on vacation, even if she has auto-request on, so I suspect that friends who are on vacation are not included in the list you see on the post books page. |
