I got 2 great WL books at my FOL book sale today and posted.  Then being curious, I did a search to see if my versions (exact ISBNs) were the ones on WL.  Both have a list of wishers  (one has over 100 !)

but neither has come up as on hold for a WL request.   Is there some kind of timeframe they must sit on your bookshelf before they get offered to first person on WL?

I've had several other books recently that were on WL but unknown to me and I thought they all went on hold immediately while awaiting requestor's response.

If the first person in line for the book has it on auto-request, it goes into a 1 hr buyer's remorse on your bookshelf before it posts to that person.  It should be on  your bookshelf with a grey circle with an exclamation point in it.  After an hour, it'll go into your "books requested from me" tab.

If they are on auto-request, they do not go on the Wish List Hold tab ... instead you see them on your bookshelf for 1 hour with a grey circle exclamation point next to them.

If they are not on auto request, then they go on the Wish List Hold tab and you see them there until someone accepts them.

Ahhhh- the mysterious gray circle with an exclamation point!  I'll have to look for that in the future.     thanks, Sarah!

Both books are now on WL hold awaiting responses from requestors.
