From back cover:
Tobey and Brose. Brose and Tobey. The perfect couple. Brose has already promised to give Tobey his class ring when they're seniors, and Tobey is sure they'll stay together always. After all, she's easygoing, not difficult like her older sister who almost calls off her own wedding!
But slowly, things begin to change- like when Brose falls for the beautiful new girl at the beach that summer. At first they manage to patch up their differences, but then they have a huge fight right before the fall dance- so Tobey creates a Dream Man to take Brose's place. The only problem is that everyone believes her... and expects the Dream Man to take her to the dance!

"A pleasant and frothy story that most girls of twelve-fifteen will love..." -Library Journal
