His 5yo daughter was run over in the driveway by her older brother.  She died shortly afterwards at the hospital.    A very, very, sad tragedy.  They have such a beautiful family.  My heart just aches for them.  I can't fathom the pain.

Oh, this gave me goosebumps.  He's one of my favorite entertainers ever, and I really respect the fact that they've adopted the three girls.  How tragic for them all.  I will be praying for them.

Oh, man.  I will sure pray for them.  That is so tragic.

Something similar happened to a little boy at my church many years ago.  He was riding his bigwheel, and a neighbor who was backing out of her driveway ran over him.  It was an accident...she just couldn't see him.  He was 2 years old.

Possibly one of the saddest funerals I ever attended.

May God be with him and his whole family. Grace and peace to all. From the darkness comes the light.

My prayers are with the Chapman family. They are a wonderful example of a family blessed because of their love and faith to God. I am hugging my boys tighter today. Maria is dancing with Jesus, and the Chapman family will one day be reunited with her in Heaven.

My prayers go out to their family.  What a heartbreaking thing to lose a child!  I'm sure God is near their family now, helping them get through.

If you go to this site and scroll down, he has a video of him washing dishes with Maria. Once you play that video you can click on the menu button (bottom right corner of the video screen) and view more Chapman family videos.

If you have not heard the song that he wrote for his two youngest daughters, it will bring you to tears when you do get to hear it.  When I first heard "Cinderella," I had no idea that he wrote it for the two younger Chinese girls.  And since the tragedy of his daughter's death, I found out how the song came to be.  One particular night he was trying to put the two girls to bed, but they were not cooperating with him.  He was starting to lose patience with them, and had asked them to put their PJ's on, and he would be right back.  When he got back, the two of them were standing there in their Cinderella and Snow White costumes saying, "Daddy, we're going to the ball!!"  That night, he started writing the chorus.  He took it to a friend, and asked his opinion.  After the friend heard it, he was in tears thinking about his own daughter.

When I first heard the song on the radio, I just thought it was okay.  But after I heard it a few more times (also bearing in mind that I've always been a daddy's girl), I haven't been able to get the song out of my head.  I just can't imagine what they must be going through.....it breaks my heart.

I absolutely love that song, and when I hear it now, I get all teary-eyed thinking of thier family.
