Hi,

My son is in 7th grade pre-algebra and doesn't seem to really get it. It's very frustrating, because he has been doing really well in math until now. He's working really hard to barely earn a C in the class. When we try to go over the homework, he guesses at answers and doesn't seem to retain the lesson. I don't think his textbook has enough examples and his teacher moves either too slow (in which case my son gets bored and stops paying attention) or too fast (in which case the same thing happens!). My husband and I want to get a workbook to work with him at home. We both have math backgrounds and I tutored math all through high school and college. Any recommendations?

Thanks, Lorien

Check out the Key To Algebra program by Key Curriculum Press. It has very clear, step-by-step instructions and is inexpensive.

By the way, Key to Algebra books 1,2,and 3 and the answer key for books 1-4  is available at the moment right here at Paperbackswap.com   I just saw them posted.  If you decide to order this, I am referring to the one's published by Key Curriculum Press.
