How do you put in a reminder or WL a book that hasn't yet been published?  And where do you go to find out upcoming pub dates?  Has anyone figured out when the new titles hit the database?

I'm already on the WL for the 14th Stephanie Plum book.  I am sure there will be a fifteenth book and I want to get in my request early!!!

Ange, if you already know the ISBN number (if it's been assigned) you can search the Database for it.  If it doesn't exist, I would put a note in my notebook (on your profile page) and remind yourself that way.  I know that upcoming books that already have ISBN's often are listed here before they are actually available...

Once an ISBN is assigned, it usually doesn't take long to show up in the database. Use sites like Amazon and B&N to get the ISBN's and then check regularly here to add them.

On Amazon you can search by release date and it'll show upcoming books.  That's how I find some.  I also routinely check the websites of my fave authors and see what they have coming out soon.  Search on here too and you might find some already on here that haven't been released yet.  Also I know on the L&R board we have a thread called New Books to WL and people post info on WL books they've found and most are new or upcoming releases.

I don't know if this is allowed but the site  http://www.booksandchat.com/ has release dates for many popular books well into the 2008 year and the lists are updated monthly if not more often. We are always looking for new authors to add to these lists. While most of the foum is viewed by anyone, to view the un-released books or to take part in the distribution of ARCs and such, you must become a member.  For some things like the Lending Library there is a posting limit.
