I am looking for pregnancy/childbirth books for our local crisis pregnancy center. I know these don't always get picked up very quickly, so if you'd like to clear off your bookshelf, this is your chance! I am looking for either a very generous offer or someone who just wants to donate out of the goodness of their hearts.  PM me if you have questions, and thank you in advance!

Hi Jeannie,

I have Johnson's Mother and Baby (Johnson & Johnson) and Your Baby's First Year (American Academy of Pediatrics) on my shelf. I'd do a 2/1 or I'd love to trade them for the 2 Golden Books you have on your shelf! Let me know if you're interested.

I have one on my shelf (not sure if that is what you want).  If you want it let me know and where to send it.  I will donate it for free.

Thanks for the offers! I am grateful for whatever I can get. Also, this is a faith-based center, so any Christian books dealing with parenting, God's plan for families, or related topics would be appreciated.

I have several on my bookshelf if you would like to take a look.  I'll do a 2 for 1 deal on any of the books you would like.

The only question I would have is whether this is a center that gives all comers all of their options including relinquishment abortion etc., or if it is actually a "front" for an anti-abortion establishment.  These places can do a lot of good, but they can also be in business of creating great guilt feelings in anybody who is conflicted on what to do, and thus may, for some anyway, do more harm than good.  It sometimes seems that their primary reason for existence is to give women false information in an effort to talk them out of what they may want/need to do.  All situations are different, and do not all have the same answer!!

I ask this as a fully trained, Board Certified OBGYN who not only used to do a lot of deliveries, but was, until I retired, for many years one of very few abortion providers in my state.

I don't really want to debate the pro-life, pro-choice question, but I think that potential donors, myself included, should know what kind of establishment they are donating to.    Thanks.

This is not an abortion provider, and we say that right up front. This center exsists to give women who *do* want to have their babies the option to do so, by offering support and help. We are able to supply diapers, formula, clothing, cribs, etc. and also do referrals for housing, medical help (also run a free non-emergency medical clinic 2 times a month), education, employment, etc. We are trying to help those who have no where else to turn. Thanks for your concern!

Thanks also to those who have helped me so far... I have PMed everyone.
