This is written by a Pastor who has three children, who are now older teens and young adults. He "practiced what he preached" as far as parenting and preparing his own children for dating.
This book had me thinking about some things - definitely a little thought-provoking. Whether you look at dating from a faith-perspective or not, it is a good book.
Chapters cover things like: the purpose of dating, responsibility, safety, curfew, double dating, post-date discussions, issues with age differences, and more.
I really feel this book is at least worth skimming for all parents, as soon as their oldest reaches 5th grade and possibly earlier. Dr. Bob Barnes, the author, promotes developing a relationship with your kids, well before dating begins, so they know how to act on a date as far as treating others courteously ... a skill which is really a life-skill with or without dating.
