I have been approached by a preschool to be their science teacher for 3yr olds, 4 yr olds & 5 yr olds. I have never taught this age before & have never taught just science before. Do you all know of any websites &/or books that are great science resources for this age group? Any input is really appreciated! Thanks in advance! Shayla |

here is a neat website, they are selling a curriculum but it has some books listed that look good and some other things http://www.noeoscience.com/bio1.html here are some fun experiments to try, we loved the hand washing one http://www.hometrainingtools.com/articles/germ-science-projects-for-elementary.html
we have also used for dental health stuff flossing the bottom side of an egg carton (kinda like teeth) we did the tornado in a bottle and my girls loved doing that and read some books on tornadoes. scholastic has some really good science books that are sold in sets as well. hope this helps! |

I have Science; Time To Learn http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9781570291968-Science+Time+to+Learn on my shelf, it has a lot of great science projects to do with young kids ... I have several from the series posted but this is the only one about science. The projects are fun and easy and my kids enjoyed them a lot.
