To be honest this book frustrated me greatly. I think any horse lover will appreciate many of the insights the main character has regarding horse ownership and care but the main plot of the story seemed to drag. The main theme of this book is grief and the failure to resolve it in one's life but unfortunaltely I felt beat over the head with the same message over and over. The final tragedy at the end had little effect because I just wanted to be done with the book and especially done with the main character. I wish the book would hae focused more on her relationship with horses as I really enjoyed the parts about Twister and I felt the author did a very good jor portraying life with horses.

This is one book that I started and could not put down. I read it all in one afternoon. It deals with tragedy and grief, with the horses as a background theme. I was introduced to a number of very interesting characters through a series of flashback memories as the story unfolded. I liked the fact that the action was unpredictable. I never knew where the story would lead next.
