I just wanted to highlight this series. This is a great little book about a girl whose mom runs and is elected as president while she is a young teenager. Since we are in the midst of presidential campaigns, it's timely again. It is not a well known series, but certainly worth a look. I think the second book is called White House Autumn, but I have not read that one. I have The President's Daughter available on my shelf. I read it and enjoyed it. It is a young adult level book.

Michelle, you've just brought back some memories for me!  I loved that book!  I think I read it until it fell apart.  It's wonderfully written and the second book was also well done.   Thanks for the smile :)

I, too, loved that book! I loved the whole series :) White House Autumn is also wonderful. The third book, Long Live the Queen, is much darker. The series is written with much humor and will still sound reasonably contemporary today.
