In this one Nina Reilly is at it again, trying to solve crime and clear the name of a friend. Someone is setting fires in Carmel Valley, someone has died, the wrong person has been blamed. The book is very fast-paced and exciting.

Published in 2004, this continuation of the popular series finds attorney Nina O'Reilly working in Carmel Valley, rather than South Lake Tahoe, as she explores a more committed relationship with her long term boyfriend and PI working partner, Paul. The story gets even more personal since the accused is the son of Nina's legal secretary, and has been working for Paul. But now the police suspect him of both ecoterrorism and murder, in a series of arson fires that have been threatening new development.
