Her Pretend Courtship by Jocelyn McClay and Vannetta contains two enjoyable Amish stories. Their Unpredictable Path by Jocelyn McClay is a cute story that features two kind people. I enjoyed following the âpretendâ courtship of Susannah Mast and Jethro Weaver. I could understand why Susannah and Jethro wanted to escape the pressure being put on them by the bishop (and Jethro's mother) to marry. I like the author's friendly writing style. I finished this story with a smile on my face. An Unlikely Amish Match by Vannetta Chapman is a touching tale. It is the fifth book in the Indiana Amish Brides series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. Micah and Susannah are complete opposites which leads to some humorous and playful moments. There are also some tender scenes that will touch your heart. I like how faith is incorporated into the story. Also, we see that each day is precious, and we should not waste a moment. I like Vannetta Chapman's engaging writing style. I was quickly drawn into An Unlikely Amish Match. Her Pretend Courtship has two uplifting stories with pushy parents, strategic matchmaking, a troubled teen, a stubborn grandfather, an earnest maidel, and surprising situations.
