PREY is the fourth book in the Werecats series. Faythe is faced with so many heartbreaking events. Marc is kidnapped, Manx faces the Tribunal, Kaci refuses to shift and her family life explodes. I have enjoyed all the books in the series, but this one stands as my favorite. It made me angry, it touched my heart and it made me cry like a baby. I'm not sure where the next installment will take Faythe, but I say, "bring it on!"

I have to agree with the first reviewer (from 7/12/09) This is the BEST one yet of this series. The author broke out of the mold of the previous three and really threw emotion into 'Prey.' I laughed, I cried, I was ticked off, and was truly caught up in the story's suspense on this one. Faythe really exerted her strength in this one. She is beginning to show that can grow up and be a leader. Some of the events in the story truly broke my heart, but I appreciate that Ms. Vincent is willing to risk character lines to create such an outstanding addition to the series.
I love an author that gives us a "happily, ever after," even if it risks becoming monotonous and predictable. Reality may not always hold that, so I enjoy knowing my entertainment will!

I enjoy these books but they are getting a little repetitive. Heroine is always facing an uphill battle where everyone but her own clan hates/fears/is out to get her. They win in the end but there is always the "shocking" twist. Author isn't afraid to kill off major characters - kind of like that. Afraid she is writing herself into a corner and will soon have to 'remake' the rules -
