Was glad I got this one at the library, as definitely not a keeper. The first book in the series "Strange Brews" was much funnier and less predictable. This book picks up the plot about 10 years later, with minor characters from the last book. Was not impressed with the chemistry between the hero and heroine. The magical sword appears in the plot again, but the mages and powers in this book are not as integrated or well developed. Has an obvious lead in to another sequel with an equally predictable plot and already identified hero/heroine for the next book. Oh well! Okay for a senseless read, but I had to put this book down and read something else because I got bored.
