Noras beloved Priest/owner/lover, Soren, has sent her into the arms of her former roommate/best friend/love, Wesley, in the hopes that once she gets her fill she will come back to him as she always does. But Nora has never loved or been loved by a man like Wesley. She has missed him and longed for him in the year+ they have been apart.

While Nora is playing catch up with Wesley in Kentucky Soren and Kingsley are taking a trip down memory lane trying to figure out who keeps threatening their world. As they relive their past the readers get to know more about Soren, Kingsley and even Nora. What brought them together, what strong bonds they have and what pain they have shared/caused.

Its hard to describe books that have you so thoroughly engrossed and obsessed yet with every page I find myself hating either the contents or the consequences. Is it wrong that I want everyone to have a little peace? I have long since left my hatred for Nora behind. I still dont fully understand her or her behavior and I have come to realize I dont think that she does, either. I was beginning to hate Soren a little bit, but at the end of this book find myself a little in love with him. I think that Priest could talk me into about anything. Then there is Kingsley I find myself pitying him. Is there anything worse than be so close to your hearts desire and not being able to embrace it or have it?

I saw the ending of this book coming a mile away but that didnt diminish the impact of the ride that brought us there. These books leave me feeling a little raw and sad and yet I am positively impatient for the next round, The Mistress.

The Original Sinners series isnt an easy read, and rarely a comfortable one, but its satisfying in its own sadistic way.
