My printer ran out of ink and it's one of those annoying Dell printers that you have to specially order ink cartridges for. Can I just mail books out in boxes or handwritten envelopes until I get some more ink? Sara |

That is perfectly acceptable. |

Hey there Sara, I hand write mine all the time now. I was out of in for about a week. Finally found it in my budget to invest $50 something for the new cartridges (HP) and the darn printer died the next day. If you are going to hand write the label or use bubble mailers, be sure to write USPS MEDIA MAIL in large letters on the front, especially if you are using stamps and tossing them in a blue box. Dont forget your return address, my PO says it is required on Media Mail. And I always put a piece of packing tape over the To: Address so if the outside gets wet the ink wont run. Cheryl |

I don't have a printer so I always handwrite. I haven't had anything go lost yet, even with my not so great handwriting. |

From the Help Center:Can I hand-write the address to send a book?Yes. If you cannot (or do not wish to) print the wrapper, you may hand-write the address on your package. You will need to access the address from the request for the book on your My Account page, just the same way you would begin if you were going to print it; once you are viewing it (either in .pdf format downloaded to your computer, or in a webpage using the backup wrapper link), instead of printing it you can copy it onto your package. If you choose to hand-write the address to send a book, PBS Delivery Confirmation cannot be used for that shipment.
