OK, I have an odd situation. I have a book that has been requested from me that needs to be mailed by tonight or it will time out. When I went to print the wrapper, I got a message that said this member had requested another book from me and as soon as I responded and accepted that request, I could print a bulk wrapper for the entire order. I currently have 10 books that have been requested from me waiting for a response. Because there are quite a few, I need to space them out a little for purposes of postage. I have no way to know which, if any, of these books has been requested by this same member, and I cannot respond to all of them at once to find out. I tried contacting the site managers but haven't heard back yet, and probably won't until tomorrow. I also tried contacting the member to see if they could tell me what other title they had requested from me so that I could respond and accept it, but haven't heard back. I can find no other way of even just getting the member's address so that I can send the book before it times out. I guess I will just have to let it go and contact the member afterwards to see if they still want it and then I can repost. I just find it very annoying that I couldn't just send this book individually, for whatever reason, if I wanted to.

Has anyone else encountered this or does anyone know a work around to get the member's address without printing the wrapper? I tried selecting the option for hand writing the address, but got the same message.

Sorry that you didn't get an answer sooner. I thought that requests without RCs had a PM button them and you could check from there, but I don't have any active transactions to look at to verify. Otherwise I would have recommended accepting until you found the book, selecting the latest mail date and then just use the grace period given to mark them mailed and make sure they were all mailed within a day or two after marking them mailed.

Here's my suggestion.  If the first request you accepted was the top one on the list, accept the next request down (it's likely that the two requests came in about the same time, so one might be right above the other) then choose the latest "I can mail by" date available.  (That way, if it's not part of the bulk request, you'll still have some time before you have to mail.)  If it's part of the bulk order, that will now show.

The PM button allowing  you to check the name of the requestor doesn't show up until after you've chosen an "I can mail by..." date.

I'm sorry, too, that you didn't get a response sooner.  I don't know how I missed your question last night.  Hopefully you found a solution.

This seems very strange to me.  When I get multiple orders from the same person, even if not made at the same time, the system automatically groups them together and says these need to go to the same address. Could the person have been in the process of ordering the second book when you tried to print the first wrapper?  How did this turn out?

My multiples orders always share the same window and the same request ID number.I am curious as well.
