This true story reveals how unbelievably cruel Communism is, and how, still, the Jews are persecuted. I hate to say it, but the way Jacobo described his daily, 24 hours a day, in some way or form, he was tortured and how he suffered, the way he wrote it fascinated me! I mean you cannot believe how one very nice human being, a professional public writer of a newspaper, could be treated so inhumanely for over 2 years..it truly makes you thankful for America, and also , very happy for the surprise ending of this true, touching and inspiring story of survival of brutal physical and phschological torture. I really enjoyed this book, very , very well written.
