Hi everyone!

My super sweet DH bought me a color Nook for Valentine's Day!!! I'm so happy!

Anyways, I have a bunch of "lend me" questions:

1.  Why are only certain books lendable? For example, I purchased several books for it yesterday, some of which were on my WL here, but it only shows 3 as being lendable.  Why?  Can I add more of my books to it?

2. What happens when you lend a book to someone, and  they don't return it? Are you then out a book, or can you just go back to BN and download another version?

There's probably more questions I have about this, but I can't think of them right now.

Many thanks!

The picture of the book will have a little banner saying "lend me" on it.

So no they are not ALL lendable.

I actually do not know the answer to the other question, i have not "lent" yet.

I could be mistaken, but when you lend someone a book after a certain time it is returned to you and cannot be lent to them again.  Of course I could be wrong but this is what my Nook owning co-worker told me.

Enjoy it

Nancy,

1. The publisher determines which books are lendable and which are not.  This changes so keep an eye on your books as something you downloaded last night may become lendable next week and what is lendable now may not be lendable in a week.  You cannot make a book lendable only the publisher can do that.

2. You may wish to consult the FAQs but I believe that if someone does not return a book you lent them after 14 days it is automatically returned to you and lost to the other person.  You can only lend a book once.

Well to question 2....it's auto returned and yes you can only lend the book once..kind sad about that one.  And you can't ever "lose" the book as it's on your b&n book page and you can download it to your Adobe Digital Editions...make sure you get that...as that's how you download your library ebooks :)
