Yesterday I requested two books within minutes of each other.  In the case of both books I placed an RC on the request stating that I'm looking for the hardback version (I'm wanting a keeper copy of the books to replace my worn out paperbacks) because the binding type is listed as "Unknown Binding".

The first book is still sitting in my queu "Waiting for member" as normal.  The book started with only 1 copy according to the reminder list.

The second book's "Requested On:" date keeps changing to later and later.  The book started with 20 copies according to the reminder list.

When I look at the details I find nothing more than what I've told you here.  I found out the transaction archive doesn't apparently list books that haven't been received yet.  So I don't know.  Am I seeing the RC's being declined by the members in the queu or is this some sort of glitch (I haven't received any notifications that I know of).

Sounds like that "unknown" binding is actually a paperback.  I think that your request is being turned down for the RC.  That won't show up in your transaction archive.

Are you getting the RC turned down emails?  Do you have that turned on?

Yes, you are seeing your RC declined and a new request date/time stamp when it rolls to the next person offering it. You will only get an email if there are no more books to request.

Thank you for the replies,

Sounds like it is time to voluntarily un-request the book (there is no reason to annoy 20 members).  I'd checked my e-mail, good to know that it only sends an e-mail if there aren't any more to request (I've gotten that e-mail before but it was for a short ISBN so therefore only went through 1 member).

If you want to see each RC turned down, all you have to do is look in MyAccount --> Club Communications

You will see all of the messages about each RC turndown there.

We get an email when the RC is denied.  But no notice when the book rolls over or is marked "cannot mail".  Then the time just changes.

You can see all passed on requests (including those declined for requestor conditions) in your credit registry. You cannot see them in your transaction archive.

There it is, never would have thought to look in the credit registry (will now though).  I caused head scratching for four members.  If any of them read this forum, thank you.
