Just had something weird happen and was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them.  A very nice person PM'd me that they just added a book to thier BS that I might want (as I've ordered other books of this type from them). It was one I wanted (only copy), so I put in the ISBN they sent me to go to the book's page and hit the "Order this Book" button.  Instead of going to the next page in the order process, it took me to the "We're sorry but this book is no longer available for order" page.  So it looked like it was already ordered by someone else.  However, when I went back to the book's page it was still showing the "order this book" button, so I tried again to order it.  Took me to the no longer available page again.  Book was showing in the recently posted list on the home page and also showed it could be ordered, so I tried to order it again.  Same thing, took me to the this book is not available for order page.  Then I went to the poster's BS and it showed as available for order on her BS, so I ordered it again (4th time) and this time it went through.

Anybody else had problems ordering an available book like this?  

No, and I would suggest using the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page to let TPTB know what happened. 

Yes, I've  had that happen. Nothing I could do but wait a while and try again later. Glad you got your title ordered.

This just happened to me this morning. There are 16 available copies, but I'm getting "Unfortunately, this book is no longer available for requesting." when I try to order.  However, I found it on a shelf and ordered directly no problem. Strange...

I did report it. They are aware there is a problem as apparently other people have had the same problem.  They do not know what is causing the problem so can't fix it. 

It is possible the other member placed her account on Vacation Hold after you ordered the first book? If she did, I think you'd still be able to see her books when you clicked "order more books from the member", but you wouldn't be able to order.

Patty P.  Nope, her account was not on vacation hold.  I'm not the only one having this problem.  PBS does not know what is causing it so has been unable to fix it.

Interesting, Tory. I'm guessing it has happened intermittantly to a few members, and they'll need more data to figure it out. So if this happens to someone, they should let the Admin Team know.
