I've seen advertisements for e-reader/iPad pillow stands and always thought they were silly. But now I'm wondering...

I have 7" Galaxy Tab that I use primarily as a reader.  In the evenings, after the house is quiet, I spend hours reading - usually while lying down.  The tablet gets awkard to hold after awhile. Often I end up propping it up on pillow on my stomach.

What about the rest of you? Have you found a pillow stand worthwhile? Simply use a pillow? Or just hold the thing?

My oldest reader is in an easel case.  I really like that, and will use that case to angle the smaller readers at the table.  In bed, I use the edge of the blankets, I'll roll them to hold the reader.  Or we have buckwheat pillows, which are great at holding the reader.

I normally hold mine as well.  At work, when I'm reading at lunch, I prop my ereader up against my lunch bag until I get the right angle on it so I can read.

I do have an easel stand case for my old Nook Color.  I can put the Nook HD into it but the case it a bit too bulky for the purse I'm currently using so I quit using it.  That was nice for reading while at lunch.

At home, I'm usually on the couch or on my bed reading and I just hold the ereader.  If I'm laying down, I'll rest it on my stomach so I don't have to hold it up but I've not tried one of those pillow things.

In bed mine ends up on the body pillow beside me.  Sitting up I hold.  Watching movies I use a Picture holder...$1 at walmart.   You dont need to buy anything fancy just look at other things and adapt them.

I have a Nook HD with an easel case but I prop so much while I'm out and about and during lunch at work that the edge of the case where it locks in to do the prop feature gets worn out too easily.  I came across a silicone desktop phone holder and decided I'd give it a try.   LOVE IT!  It holds my Nook in either position (upright for me reading and turned so my DGD can watch movies or play games) and it's light enough that I can carry it in my bag.  The below link is the exact one I got.  I prop it on my desk at work during lunch (I keep one in my desk for lunchtime reading).  I grab the one from home when we are heading out to dinner, long drives, etc.  LOVE my Nook.  :)

i don't think i've seen a pillow stand, but the plastic stand i have works great for using the tablet or ereader on a flat surface (like reading over lunch), but i never use it anywhere else.

to read in bed or play on my tablet, i generally just prop it on my stomach making a space in the blankets, and support it with one hand.  for me, i think putting it on a pillow would put it too high.  laying on my side it just goes down on the bed.

on the couch reading, the Kindle is usually sitting on the pillow in my lap, supported by one hand that i also turn pages with.
