England 1663. A viscount is required to marry. His bride is a young Puritan girl. Their divergent attitudes make for entertaining reading.

This book was published in 2005, but it holds up very well. I don't know why more historicals are not set during the Restoration, when heroes could have long, luxurious curls and wear lace and red high heels. The plot involves an arranged marriage between two families who were enemies in the recent civil war(her family is Puritan, his are Royalists). There is plenty of drama, with the heroine having amnesia, a ghost, witchcraft, murder, and swordplay. I liked both main characters but the flamboyant and romantic hero pretty much stole the show.
