If I put my books on Vacation Hold, do I lose my place in FIFO line?

No--When you shelf is on vacation hold, you keep your place in the FIFO line and your books will continue to move up.  If your book is in first place it will be skipped over until you take your shelf off of vacation hold.

If you put your books on your shelf on individual hold, then you will lose your spot in the FIFO line.

You also move up when your WL books are on individual hold. 

It's the bookshelf books that should never be put on hold, unless it is a vacation hold.  Those lose their spot in line.

Yes, you need to use the Vacation Hold link on the top of the Bookshelf to put your whole shelf on Vacation Hold NOT the [Hold] button after checking books to retain your place in FIFO.

Just make sure to auto-request any Wish List books you want because the 48-hr Hold books will not be offered to you while on Vacation Hold.
