I saw this paperback mystery at ubs the other day but didn't get it and of course I've forgotten the title/author, etc but I think the series name had 'puzzle' in it. I'm pretty sure it's a female author and the  main sleuth I think teams up with a retired FBI guy to solve mysteryes. Does anyone know what this series is and/or the author? I'd like to search out some reviews, etc. thanks!

I don't think is was Hall..seems like it was one of those covers like Berkley crime prime or whatever it's called..the shorter paperbacks sorta like the sudoku ones..I'm pretty sure the sleuth was woman and an ex fbi guy helped her because I was wondering if that became a romance..wasn't sure if it was book 1 or not but it was in the new arrivals/new releases which halfprice books can keep out for about 6 months or so seems like. thanks for the help..this series does sound interesting though!

I found it thanks to browsing someone's listmania on amazon! I was off though - it said 'missing pieces' mystery and that made me think of puzzles! blush

A Timely Vision is the title.

I'm reading A Timely Vision right now.  I didn't make the connection because when I think of "retired" FBI, I think of someone in his 60's and this guy in thirties (I believe).  The name of her shop is Missing Pieces and she also finds missing objects just by touching the owner.

I am enjoying the story so far, it's a nice little cozy, my first time reading these authors.  The characters are very likeable.  This is a first novel in a new series although the authors have two other ongoing series.
